Construction Operations | EstimatingJonathan brings 24 years of hands-on construction experience to every project—and a philosophy that good building science and beautiful design should never be in conflict. He’s spent his career studying how homes actually perform: how they breathe, how they age, how they protect the people inside them. That foundation shapes every estimate he writes and every build he oversees.
Jonathan’s favorite part of the process is the collaboration—working side by side with clients to take their vision from concept to reality, then watching a family walk through the finished home for the first time.
He lives what he builds. Jonathan, his wife Sarah, and their eight children are actively developing their own 10-acre homestead outside Dripping Springs—complete with a food forest, chickens, and beehives. He’s not just familiar with multigenerational homesteads in theory; he’s building one.

His background in financial consulting, business process, and technology gave him a deep appreciation for how projects should be managed: transparently, systematically, and with the client’s interests genuinely at the center.
For over a decade, he led North American operations for a global software company—which sounds nothing like custom home building, until you realize that both require managing complexity, earning trust quickly, and delivering something people are counting on. He brought those disciplines into construction and hasn’t looked back.
What draws Scott to the Legacy Build work specifically is the long view. These aren’t transaction homes. They’re properties families intend to keep, grow on, and pass down. That kind of trust—being invited into a family’s most significant investment—is something he takes seriously.
Outside the office, Scott plays guitar, does woodworking, and trains. Mostly, though, he’s outdoors with his wife and four kids—exploring, cooking with good friends, and building the kind of life he helps clients build for themselves.
